Apple certificate activation

Game guidesiOS Certificate Updated20 October 2026

The Apple certificate signs apps and mods from IPA files so your iPhone or iPad installs them. It is activated once: find the UDID, send the key and the UDID to the bot, install GBox and load the certificate into it — about 15 minutes.

Requirements

0 of 4 items

Tick what matches your device:

  • An iPhone or iPad on iOS 17 or newer, no jailbreak needed
  • Everything is done on the device itself — no computer needed
  • The certificate key — it arrives by email and shows on screen right after payment
  • The plan for your device: a certificate is issued for one device, iPhone and iPad are separate plans

System requirements

  • Operating system iOS 17 and newer
  • Processor iPhone or iPad
  • Launchers ESign or GBox

Preparation

UDID, the bot, GBox and importing the certificate. The same steps are in two short videos.
0 of 16 steps
  1. Open udid.tech in Safari and tap Get My UDID.
  2. Tap Download, then Allow in the “download …mobileconfig?” prompt. When “Profile Downloaded” appears, tap Close.
  3. Open the iPhone Settings — a Profile Downloaded row now sits at the very top. Tap it.
    • No such row — open General → VPN & Device Management and pick the profile there.
  4. Tap Install in the top right corner and enter the iPhone passcode.
  5. Tap Install once more in the “Install Profile” prompt.
  6. The iPhone returns to udid.tech, to the Device info section. Tap the UDID field — the number is copied.
  7. Open @DevCertBot, tap the button to use a key and send the certificate key, then this UDID when the bot asks for it. You get back the certificate — two files, .p12 and .mobileprovision, — its password and a link to install GBox.
The certificate key is in the email and on screen after payment. The certificate is tied to one device; one covers every app on it.
  8. Save both certificate files to the phone: in Telegram tap the file → the Share icon → Save to Files.
  9. Open the GBox link and tap Launch.
  10. Tap Install, then Install again in the iOS prompt. The GBox icon appears on the home screen.
  11. Open GBox — iOS says “Developer Mode Required”, tap OK. Then open Settings → Privacy & Security and, at the very bottom, Developer Mode.
  12. Turn the switch on and tap Restart. After the restart unlock the iPhone, tap Turn On and enter the passcode.
  13. Open GBox, the Settings tab (bottom right) → Import resources, and pick both certificate files.
  14. Go to the Files tab (bottom left), tap the .p12 file → Import certificate, enter the password and tap OK.
  15. Tap the .mobileprovision file → Import.
  16. Check Settings → Certificate manager — the certificate shows a green Active.

Launch

The certificate is active — sign IPA files with it in GBox.
0 of 2 steps
  1. Open Settings → Signing settings, scroll down and set it as in the screenshot: Low compression; Lower required iOS version: 10.0, Remove UISupportedDevices and Remove mobileprovision after signing on; everything else off.
  2. Open the IPA file you need in GBox, sign it and install it. Ultima mods install by their own guides, starting from «Installation»: Oxide, Mobile Legends, 8 Ball Pool.

Problems & fixes

6
The bot says the key is not found
Copy the whole key from the email or the order page, with no spaces at the start or end. If the bot still rejects it, message support with the order number.
There is no Developer Mode item
It shows up only after GBox is installed. Install GBox, try to open it once — the item appears in Privacy & Security.
iOS asks to wait an hour
That is Stolen Device Protection: away from familiar places iOS delays settings changes. Wait for the timer to end or install the profile at home.
Untrusted Enterprise Developer
Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, pick the certificate profile and tap Trust.
The certificate password is rejected
The password comes with the certificate files. Check the keyboard layout and that you import the .p12 file, not the .mobileprovision.
The app stopped opening
Most likely Apple revoked the certificate. Within the first month we issue a new one for free — message support. Import the new certificate into GBox, re-sign the same IPA files and install them over the old ones — the app data stays.

FAQ

5
Why do I need a certificate?
iPhone and iPad only install apps from the App Store. To install an app from an IPA file — a game mod, a modified app, or a game or app missing from your App Store — the file is signed with an Apple developer certificate issued to your device.
How long does the certificate last?
Up to a year, but Apple can revoke it earlier. Then a new certificate and re-signing the same file are enough.
Is one certificate enough for all apps?
Yes, one certificate signs every app and mod on that device. A second device needs its own.
I already have my own certificate
Then you do not need to buy one — sign IPA files with your own certificate in GBox or ESign.
Do I need a jailbreak or a computer?
No. Everything installs on the iPhone or iPad itself, iOS 17 or newer.
