Preparation

Enable virtualization (VT-x / SVM) The loader needs hardware CPU virtualization. Enabled in BIOS.
  1. Enter BIOS/UEFI and open Advanced → CPU Configuration (naming varies by board).
  2. Enable Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) on Intel, or SVM Mode on AMD. Save and reboot.

Enable Hyper-V Needed when the product requirements say Hyper-V must be on. Enabled in Windows features.
  1. Open Control Panel → Programs → Turn Windows features on or off and tick Hyper-V with all its sub-items.
  2. Open Command Prompt as administrator, run the command, then reboot:
    bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
Disk in GPT layout If the loader says “Unsupported firmware”, the system disk is MBR and needs converting to GPT.
  1. Check the layout: Win+R → diskmgmt.msc, right-click the system disk → Properties → Volumes → Partition style. It should read GUID (GPT).
  2. If it's MBR, convert without data loss: admin Command Prompt, run mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullOS. After converting, switch the BIOS boot mode to UEFI.
Back up anything important before converting. It usually goes smoothly, but a disk is a disk.
Disable Secure Boot Secure Boot stops the loader from starting. Check the status first, then disable it in BIOS if needed.
  1. Check the status: press Win + R, type msinfo32, and in System Summary find Secure Boot State. If it reads Off or Unsupported — you're set, skip the rest.
  2. If it's On — enter BIOS/UEFI (tap Del, F2 or F10 while the PC boots — depends on the motherboard).
  3. Find Boot or Security → Secure Boot and set it to Disabled. Save (usually F10) and reboot.
    • If Secure Boot is greyed out, set a Supervisor Password under Security first — that unlocks the option. You can remove the password afterwards.

  1. Check that virtualization is on: Task Manager → Performance → CPU, the Virtualization line should read Enabled.
  2. Set the BIOS boot mode to UEFI (guide).
  3. If Hyper-V is missing from the list, download the bat file, run it as administrator and restart the PC.

Launch

  1. Download the loader and move it to a USB flash drive. No copy of the loader should stay in Downloads or other folders.
  2. Close Steam from the tray icon: Exit Steam.
  3. Run the loader from the flash drive and wait for its menu.
  4. Press Start. The loader offers to restart the system — press Yes, the PC restarts on its own.
  5. After the restart close Steam again, run the loader from the flash drive and press Start.
  6. Wait for the “Start the game and press F5 in game main menu” box, physically unplug the flash drive and press OK.
  7. If your graphics card is AMD or Intel:
  8. Install Action! Screen Recorder, run it and wait for the FPS counter in the top right corner of the game.
  9. Install OBS Studio 25.0.8 even if you already have OBS, and do not update it.
  10. Run OBS as administrator.
  11. Switch the game to windowed mode before the cheat loads.
  12. In OBS double-click Game Capture and choose Capture specific window.
  13. Pick the Apex r5apex_dx12.exe process and press OK — the game must be running at this point.
  14. Wait until the game picture shows up in the OBS window.
  15. Install RivaTuner Statistics Server.
  16. In RivaTuner move On-Screen Display zoom all the way left and put the frame counter in the top left corner.
  17. In Display palette move the alpha channel all the way left.
  18. Press F5 once in the game main menu, without holding it.

Problems & fixes

Change game window mode and press F5 again
Switch the in-game display mode to any other (fullscreen, borderless or windowed) and press Apply. You can switch back right after, but before pressing F5 again. Then press F5 in the main menu once more.
The loader says a requirement is not met
Open the Configs tab in the loader: the main items should be green. A red item is a preparation step left undone: virtualization, Hyper-V, GPT, UEFI or Secure Boot.
The game crashes when switching window mode
Start RivaTuner only after the cheat has loaded and wait for the menu.
